Dear NFT enthusiast,
This week, Deutsche Bank, one of the leading financial service providers, released a report in which it stated that “NFTs could go mainstream with Instagram’s planned support.”
Three months ago, we would have been delighted at this news, seeing it as validation of our early support. But things change fast. NFTs COULD go mainstream is a misrepresentation of reality. I mean, what needs to happen for a technology to be considered mainstream?
This past week, Dolce and Gabbana in collaboration with other top fashion brands hosted the first-ever fashion week in the metaverse. Visa launched a program to help creatives build their businesses with NFTs. Citi, a multinational investment bank and financial services corporation, released a report in which it predicted that the metaverse economy will be as large as $13 trillion by 2030.
With these reports, how can anyone say that NFTs could go mainstream? COULD? In our opinion, NFTs are already mainstream! There is simply no turning back now. Artists, banks, brands, celebrities, companies, and governments have embraced NFTs and or the metaverse.
Thank you for reading and have a great week.
