Looking for a primer on NFTs? This should be the last introduction you’ll ever need.
Dear NFT enthusiast,
This week two social media giants made strides towards embedding NFTs into their services, thus exposing the NFT paradigm to billions of users. First was news from Meta that NFT minting and trading will be coming to Instagram starting with an initial wave of US-based creators, to expand into new countries over time. Ethereum, Flow, Polygon, and Solana are the blockchains currently supported.
Then there was Twitter with the announcement that it would allow users to buy and sell NFTs through tweets. With both these companies throwing their weight behind NFTs, there is little value in wondering if NFTs are here to stay. At this point, it becomes a game of which big corporations will adopt next.
Who would have thought it? NFTs as the trojan horse to mass blockchain adoption. Long live the non-fungibles!
Thank you for reading and have a great week.
