Dear NFT enthusiast,
It has been an eventful year for crypto and NFTs. As we wind down into the last few days, it makes sense to reflect on what we have achieved this year, as well as make some broad predictions for next year.
2022 proved beyond the shadow of a doubt that NFTs are here to stay. The proof is in the fact that:
Despite a ruthless bear market, NFT trading activity has not died.
Almost every brand is into NFTs or considering them. This holds for both big multinational conglomerates and medium to low-scale businesses.
The builders keep building as NFT innovation ramps up.
On the prediction front, we believe 2023 will be explosive for some sectors of the NFT space. A few of our predictions are:
The metaverse will evolve into a more usable product. We do not know which metaverse will achieve this feat (it could well be more than one).
NFTs will get further embedded into the digital culture. Instagram, Twitter, Reddit, and a few others have already leaped. Many more will follow.
There will be a surge of activity in DeFi x NFTs thanks to Real World Assets (represented on the blockchain as NFTs).
With most of the tech needed to power proper blockchain-enabled gaming all but ready, NFT games will see greater adoption.
Something unforeseen will happen, either good or bad (yes, we know it’s an easy copout, but only because it is the truth 😃)
We look forward with quiet excitement to what the future holds for NFTs while being thankful for how far we have come. Thank you for reading and have a restful holiday.
